I definitely got the colorization of the skin a little better today. It’s a little less Simpson-y and a little more human. I also spent a little time sketching out basic human figures. I think it helped a ton.

I don’t know that the joke really rings through as clearly as I had hoped… maybe because there was no real joke to begin with. I was laying in bed last night and thought it would be funny for a guy in a costume to fire someone. When I sat down to draw, I just tried to imagine any reason someone would do that. This is the best one I came up with.

For the moment, I’m sticking to single panel illustrations. It limits the jokes, but I’m not drawing well enough to really draw the same character doing different things in different panels and still have him recognizable as the same character.

Evan, you are an amazing guy, I read every one of those posts of your $ a day project and its possibly the most absorbing blog that I have read.

This cartoon of yours, made me laugh aloud looking at something on the Internet, after a long time.
